SPFEA PRIDE is back for another year of developing a strong relationship between the SPFEA and the Scotch Plains- Fanwood community.  The SPFEA Public Relations Committee hosts various events throughout the year that creates positive experiences for our SPF families and association members. If you were involved with PRIDE in the past or attended any PRIDE events, then you already know PRIDE funded former Met Darryl Strawberry to speak about drug and alcohol awareness during the baseball season and Drug Awareness week, hosted Read Across America activities, sponsored teams for the FSPY United for a Cause 5K Run, brought philanthropist Maggie Doyne to SPF High School,  gave away SPFEA products throughout the year including seat cushions at homecoming, water color changing water bottles at field days, Twistable crayons at family night, raffles for backpacks filled with school supplies, pedometers, phone chargers, sunglasses, and much more.

Many exciting events are already planned for the 2019-20 school year and PRIDE needs your help. Upcoming events include distributing notepads and pens for parents at all back to school nights as well as distributing raffle tickets for backpacks filled with school supplies at the middle schools’ Back to School Night on 9/19/19. If you are interested in getting involved with future events, please contact your building’s PRIDE committee or email Karen Sanchez at sancheka1684@gmail.com
